First rumored in early November 2020, the adidas Yeezy Boost 700 “Bright Blue” finally releases on April 17th.

Although preceded by a “Sun” iteration, the forthcoming pair has helped usher in a new aesthetic for Yeezy‘s most recognizable “dad shoe”. Unlike previous versions of the BOOST-cushioned silhouette, the “Bright Blue” option features a bold-colored upper paired with an equally-vibrant sole unit (in this case, orange). Aspects of the original “Wave Runner” release from 2017, however, have made their way onto one of Kanye West’s most statement-making pairs to date, suggesting future colorways of the model will also include light blue and rich green components at the forefoot. Furthermore, the latest Yeezy 700 will be the second style under the adidas Yeezy banner to arrive at a lower price point than its inaugural drop as it comes in at $240 USD instead of $300 USD, and that’s without tampering with the quality of tech specifications (namely BOOST foam).
