The allure of vintage has only become more enticing with time. As kids every social media platform over don their Carhartt Double Knees and 80s Reverse Weave, the idea of “old” has quickly turned to “cool.” Jordan Brand, knowing this, has crafted a special Air Jordan 5 that, while appearing aged, is actually brand new.
Due to land this Holiday 2021 season, the pair is built of a premium leather, its green-colored finish expected to develop a “beautiful patina” with time and wear. Adjacent, the eye stays, lace toggle, and outsole are oxidized to appear yellow, mimicking shoes many decades older. Elsewhere, an OG reflective tongue further adds to the retro feel, while Desert Sand accents simply complement the rest of the palette.
Expect Men’s and GS pairs to hit Nike SNKRS and select retailers later this December, possibly December 4th.
